In the past decades, the community of Paquibato District and Brgy. Inayangan, Brgy. Dominga, Brgy. Saloy and Brgy. As a result, the community is prone to road accidents, not having access to local markets, work places, educational institutions and medical and health services, poor economic growth, insufficient supplies, lesser connectivity within its people, less business opportunities and etcetera. Moreover, the community along with its respective elected Punong Barangay and Barangay Functionaries are doing its best to provide progressive quality of life to their communities.

The City Mayor’s Office- Peace 911 is committed to maintain the peace and security within its jurisdiction. It is to guarantee a safer environment and ensure promotion of development in the community especially in the areas of Paquibato and selected Calinan District. To provide single channel of services to the community, the Peace 911 initiated an Area Visitation for Infrastructure Issues and Concerns within its focused area. It was participated by the Barangay Captains of 17 Barangays- Barangay Malabog, Paquibato Proper, Sumimao, Fatima, Lumiad, Mapula, Salapawan, Tapak, Colosas, Pandaitan, Paradise Embac, Pañalum, Mabuhay, Dominga, Inayangan, Saloy and Megkwayan, and relevant agencies such as the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), City Planning and Development Office (CPDO), City Engineer’s Office (CEO) and Barangay and Cultural Communities Affairs Division (BCCAD).

The area visitation carried on for 9 days which started on August 10-12, 16, 18, 23-24, 26 and September 6, 2022. Some of the reports that were gathered during the above-mentioned visitation were unfinished road projects, uncemented and damaged roads, progressive deterioration of existing roads, overflowing bridges, damaged schools, and etc. The barangays also requested for additional farm to market roads, road concreting and widening, water systems, multipurpose halls, daycare centers and health centers. These requests will be processed through Barangay Resolutions which are also endorsed and monitored by the Peace 911 office.

The Barangay Captains of all 17 Barangays were grateful for this kind of activity for they were able to voice out their concerns and were able to be heard by the City Government of Davao.
