Mr. Mario S. Baldos, from the Davao City DILG, started the training at 10:00 in the morning to 12:00 noon. He tackled about the following values of youth:

  1. Who are children
  2. What are the rights of the children
  3. Laws and other issuances that promote the welfare of the children
  4. The role of children in Nation Building
  5. Youth Commitments

Mr. Baldos also emphasized the importance of youth in today’s society. He encouraged the youth to be self-reliant, responsible and have positive outlook to improve one’s life.

On the other hand, Mr. Romeo Torres Jr., from the City Social Welfare and Development Office started his training at 01:00 p.m. to 03:30 p.m. He discussed the following topics:

  1. Understanding oneself
  2. Understanding family and society
  3. Positive mindset
  4. Volunteering

Mr. Torres Jr., guided the youth to discover their personality by asking set of questions that would highlight their choices in life and to know their strengths and weaknesses.

After the training, the participants were happy with their new learnings and hoped that there will be more initiatives that will develop their personality and connection to the society.
